Well for spring summer, there is always a series of fluid maxi dress appearing in many brands. The style for this season is pretty dramatic and bright colour, flowery print, bold & beautiful.

Try to look at YXL, Kenzo, Chanel , Giogio Armani and you will find a range of romantic flowing dresses from black( Armani) & white (Chanel) to bright colour.
3. Do you think they are an evergreen attire or only fashionable during certain times of the year?
Yes, they usually appear on spring summer trend with a soft, thin fluid fabric which is suitable for the summer and the colour usually will be bright and vibrant too.
4. What occasions are best suited for maxis?
It depends on how dressy is the maxi. You can wear it for the day if you pair it with sandals or wedges and simple beads accessories like necklace or earrings. You can make it glam with stiletto and blink blink jewelleris to make it an evening resort wear or even formal wear if the design and fabric is a very classy and sophisticated one.
5. Personally, how do you like maxis?
Well, I am a romantic and elegant style of person, maxis kind of make me feel an air or romance and bohemian whenever I put them on. It’s actually a perfect wear for a leisure Sunday. I like to wear them for high tea with friends, leisure shopping or just going for my routine spa and medi pedi.
6. Do you think they are only suited for tall slim gals? Or are there certain cuts that an average-height or even a "short" girl can pull off?
It’s certainly look better on a taller torso person but shorter or bigger size girl can carry some cut like V neckline which can elongate your torso. You can choose the design which is not so tight and emphasis on your weakness such as tummy. I would advice not to wear white colour which make you bigger but darker colours that appeal to you.
If you have a rounded figure or big arm, you can cover with cardigan or scarf and please wear it with 3 inches high wedges to carry the long dress as you do not want to be trip down by the length of the dress if you are not tall enough. Oh yeah, you can certainly alter to the length that suit you if you can.
7. In your opinion, how have maxi designs evolved over the years?
Basically fashion comes and goes, you can notice Maxis since 1920’s with Victorian kind of style and 70’s with the flower power and hippies style. It comes back from time to time and the changes is just the fabric and cut. The romantic and fluidness of the design remains, it remind us of the age of innocence and feminism no matter what age you are.
